About Kathy

Formally trained as a “dietitian,” I disagree with “dieting,” especially for weight loss.  It leaves us feeling deprived which always backfires in the long run.

I respect each individual choosing the foods best suited for them, and certain conditions can certainly benefit from various nutrition interventions.

However, substantial research shows a colorful whole food, plant-based diet with high quality macronutrients; carbohydrates, fats and protein, and the micronutrients they provide; vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, are all key to eating healthfully.

Working together, we explore the many aspects of eating and lifestyle beyond food alone, but food, real food ranks high on the list!

Food is Information

I continually strive to keep myself current in an ever-evolving field and add new tools, strategies and resources to share with my clients. Over the past ten years, I’ve committed myself to further training in Functional Nutrition and Yoga.  My understanding of practicing from a mind, body and spirit perspective expanded significantly since these trainings.

Knowledge is power and I would love to share mine with you to empower yourself to live the healthy life you have always imagined!
